Effective Date of the JA Talents Platform Terms of Use: 24/10/2024.
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of the JA Talents Platform (“Platform”) operated by JA Europe (“we,” “us,” or “our”). Therefore, before registering for and participating in the JA Talents Platform, please read these terms carefully.
By using the JA Talents Platform, the student, teacher and mentor (hereinafter referred to as “you”) accepts these Terms of Use in full; accordingly, if you disagree with these Terms of Use or any part of these Terms of Use, we urge you to cease any kind of use of the JA Talents Platform.
Please read these JA Talents Platform Terms of Use in conjunction with the Privacy Statement of the JA Talents Platform. By using the JA Talents Platform and providing your explicit consent via opt-in, you agree to the Privacy Policy of the JA Talents Platform. Your personal data will be treated in accordance with our Privacy Statement.
Content and use of the JA Talents Platform
This platform provides you with access to a variety of resources, including but not limited to job listings, learning resources, career advice through our AI assistant, and mentorship opportunities. Such services, including any updates, enhancements, new features, and/or the addition of any new web properties, are subject to these Terms of Use.
Unless otherwise specified, the information on the JA Talents Platform is for non-commercial use. Please note that you do not possess any right to modify, copy, distribute, transmit, display, perform, reproduce, publish, license, create derivative works from, transfer, or sell any information, software, products or services obtained from the JA Talents Platform.
AI Career Assistant
The JA Talents Platform provides an AI-powered career assistant that offers career-related advice and guidance. Please note:
- The AI assistant is powered by OpenAI’s technology through the AI Engine WordPress plugin
- Advice provided is generated automatically and should be considered as general guidance only
- JA Europe does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or appropriateness of AI-generated responses
- Users should verify any important career decisions with qualified professionals
- JA Europe is not liable for any decisions made based on AI-generated advice
Third-party Integrations
The JA Talents Platform integrates with various third-party services:
- Job Listings (nPloy):
- Job listings are aggregated from pre-selected organizations
- Clicking job listings redirects to nPloy’s platform
- Job applications are processed through nPloy’s system
- JA Europe is not responsible for the content of job listings or application processes
- Educational Content:
- Courses are aggregated from external providers
- Clicking course links redirects to external platforms
- Course completion and progress are managed by external providers
- JA Europe does not guarantee course availability or content
- JA Europe does not guarantee the skill assesment tool availability or content
- Clicking the skill assesment button redirects to an external platform
This includes but is not limited to:
- nPloy’s job listing platform
- External course providers
- External resource links
- Third-party tool providers
Mentorship Program
The JA Talents Platform provides access to mentorship opportunities:
- Application Process:
- Mentors and mentees must apply through designated forms
- Personal data collected through forms is processed according to our Privacy Statement
- Submission of an application does not guarantee matching
- Program Terms:
- Mentorship is provided on a voluntary basis
- JA Europe does not compensate mentors
- JA Europe is not responsible for the outcome of mentorship relationships
Notice specific to documents available on this JA Talents Platform
All content/material you submit on the JA Talents Platform through the use of your account shall be solely owned by you, or when applicable, the team you are in (when you act as a student). Permission to use team ideas available on the JA Talents Platform is granted only for informational, non-commercial, personal use. Any (future) educative material concerning and/or resulting from the JA Talents Platform may not be copied or posted on any network computer or broadcast in any media, and no modifications may be made hereof. Use for any other purpose is expressly prohibited by law, and may result in severe civil and criminal penalties.
User submissions
JA Europe is not requesting any kind of confidential information from you through the JA Talents Platform. Any material, information or other communication you transmit or post on the JA Talents Platform is therefore to be considered non-confidential by JA Europe.
Liability
JA Europe does not warrant to meet all your requirements through the JA Talents Platform. We do offer you the possibility to request further information from JA Europe at all times. Hence, you declare to have been sufficiently informed about the content and the scope of the JA Talents Platform.
JA Europe does not guarantee that: (i) the performance of the JA Talents Platform will be uninterrupted or error-free nor that all errors and/or bugs will be corrected (within a reasonable time), (ii) JA Talents Platform will be constantly available, free of viruses, in time and complete, or (iiI) the information provided by the JA Talents Platform is complete, correct, accurate and non-misleading.
The intended use of the JA Talents Platform by you is determined under your full responsibility and at your own risk. JA Europe cannot be held liable in any way for any direct or indirect/consequential damage resulting from this intended use. You shall thus be solely responsible for any damage to your computer (programs), wireless devices and/or other equipment consequential to the JA Talents Platform.
Further, JA Europe shall not be liable for damage caused by force majeure or hardship.
JA Europe is not liable for:
- The accuracy or availability of external job listings
- The content or availability of external courses
- The advice provided by the AI Career Assistant
- The outcomes of mentorship relationships
- Any actions or decisions taken based on platform content
Update Terms of Use
JA Europe is entitled to update these terms by posting a new version on the website whereby JA Europe will indicate the revision data on top of these JA Talents Platform Terms of Use. Therefore, it is strongly recommended to regularly consult our JA Talents Platform Terms of Use, to make sure that you are aware of any changes.
Legal framework and Jurisdiction
- Governing Law
These Terms of Use shall be governed by and construed in accordance with Belgian law, as JA Europe is headquartered in Belgium.
- Jurisdiction
Any disputes relating to these Terms of Use shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Brussels, Belgium.
